Written and recorded over the period of summer 2017 to late 2018, War Within is a candid, open and moving document that takes much inspiration from Jon’s personal battles.

It touches on mental burn out (War Within), the dangerously intoxicating allure of immediate relief (Cut Loose), domestic injustice (Good Man), and social isolation (Tick).

These collection of songs will hit hearts and nerves, yet hope remains unavoidably and unabashedly intrinsic to each note sung.

Sometimes mournful, often triumphant, War Within is JMT’s best, broadest and most accomplished record to date.
